90-s: New quality and innovative technologies In the 90-s Hyundai Motor Company started working out own technologies. The first engine “Alpha” constructed by the Company was performed in 1991. In two years followed another performance of engine “Beta”. In January 1992 world society had clear view of a new Hyundai model. The first concept –car Hyundai HCD-1 was the base of original conceptual vehicle creation. Successful achievements of Hyundai Motor Company were managed in the field of electro machinery. The company developed the main industrial technologies. Also were increased the safety qualities and decreased the exhaust level. In 1998 was a sharp fall in sell on the inner market. That was a difficult period for Hyundai Motor Company. But that was also the period of corporative and industrial restruction. Kia Asia Motors Acquiring and HPI and HMS amalgamation restored all economical indices. Hyundai Motor Company got an opportunity to compete on the world motor-car market. Quite a number of new models as Hyundai EF Sonata and Hyundai XG received a high appraisal of the international auto press. The 1999 year for Hyundai Motor Company was one of the active and effective years. After Hyundai EF Sonata and Hyundai XG followed another 4 models: Hyundai Centennial, new Hyundai Accent, renewed Hyundai Coupe and Hyundai Trajet. Hyundai Trajet was a modern achievement of Hyundai Motor Company in MPV segment (comfortable minivan). Hyundai Motor Company finished the 1999 year with perfect result. The export volume made up almost 701 000 vehicles. Were beaten all own previous records. At last, restored the sell level on the inner market. |
